Waterfront Winterland Opens on the 12th November and Closes on the 2nd January, we’re only closed on Christmas day and Boxing day. Keep an eye on social media and our website for opening times as these may change due to unforeseen circumstances.

Unfortunately, we cannot reserve tables, or pre-book hospitality online. You can however book ice skating tickets online.

No! There is no admission fee, it is free to enter, you only have to pay for the attractions you choose.

Based on current government guidance visitors are not required to show an NHS Covid Passport, vaccine certificate or proof of a negative test to enter the event. Please note that we are constantly monitoring the situation and if any tweaks to the event are needed, we will keep you updated via our website and social media.

Unfortunately once a session is sold out it has reached capacity, we don’t hold any tickets back but ticket may become available if they are returned. We don’t have a waiting list for sold out sessions, so we advise you to keep checking back on the booking website.

Ride tokens cost £1.00 each and can be bought from the token booths on site. Token booths will close 15 minutes before site closing time each evening.

Unfortunately, we do not allow dogs onto the event site. We do allow guidance dogs. Please note that Waterfront Winterland can be very busy and noisy so may not be a suitable environment for dogs.

Yes! Safety is our top priority and we want everyone to feel safe whilst at the event. Sometimes our security may carry out bag checks and there are restrictions on what items we allow on site. We do ask all of our visitors to remain vigilant and not to leave bags, or belongings unattended. 

We do not allow the following items on the event site – 

  • Knives
  • Fireworks
  • Smoke Canisters
  • Air-Horns
  • Flares
  • Weapons
  • Dangerous or Hazardous Items
  • Lasers
  • Bottles/glass vessels/cans
  • Poles
  • Drones
  • Any article that may be used or perceived as a weapon that may compromise public safety
  • Open bottles of drink/liquid (Unopened bottles of water will be accepted)

Please note, Waterfront Winterland is an outdoor event so please make sure you wrap up warm! There are covered areas and indoor seating areas and we welcome everyone to use these!

Yes first aid will be available throughout the event, please see a team member if you are in need of medical attention.

We operate a challenge 25 policy at the event so purchasing alcohol, you will be asked for valid identification to confirm that you are aged 18 or over if you appear to be under the age of 25.

Alcohol is not permitted to be brought into the event from outside, and any alcoholic drinks purchased on site must be consumed before leaving the event site.

Carers wristbands are available, please provide proof at the onsite Token booths to receive a wristband which will allow the designated carer to ride free with the paying customer. Customers and their Carers should assess their own abilities and make an informed decision about which attractions they are able to, or wish to use.

Although we will always try to be as fully inclusive as we possibly can at Swansea’s Waterfront Winterland, certain rides and attractions at the Event are physically demanding and vigorous. Waterfront Winterland Swansea therefore reserves the right to refuse admission to any ride or attraction should we feel that there is an unacceptable risk to your safety or the safety of others should they participate. Our ride operators and team members are always available to assist and advise in any way they can.

Yes, we prefer contactless.

The Ice Rink is covered as in previous years but the Ice Walk is not under cover so please bring suitable outdoor clothing if you want to use the Ice Walk. 

The Ice rink & Walk will operate in all weather conditions, including if it is raining. Please ensure that you have suitable clothing for wet weather. 

The only reason we may have to stop a session or close the rink is due to high wind. We will always try to publicise this on social media if we have to close. Please be aware that the floor & ice will be slippery when wet.

Yes, we have a cloakroom available for skaters, it’s £2 per item. Please do not leave items unattended in skate exchange or around the walk. Unattended items may be removed or destroyed.

We do not have an onsite box office this year, you can buy tickets online at any time. You can also book tickets over the phone with TicketSource on 0333 666 3366.

Unfortunately, we are unable to exchange any tickets.

We offer skates from Junior 8 to Adult size 15, we have a limited number of skate so all sizes are offered on a first come first served basis.

Unfortunately not, we do not allow phones, cameras, tablets etc on the ice.

Yes – we are accessible to everyone. Please note that electric wheelchair users may need to switch into manual mode. We also advise that wheelchair users are accompanied on the ice by a carer or personal assistant.

It is recommended that you wear a face covering when queuing and in skate exchange. You do not need to wear a face covering while on the ice.

Yes – Student ticket holders will need to bring photographic student ID with them.

Yes – Customers who are skating can store their pushchair in the Ice Rink Cloakroom as long as the pushchair is collapsed.

Unfortunately, there is no dedicated parking for the attraction. Parking is available on the streets around the site & in the City Centre car parks.

Yes – we offer buy one get one free tickets Monday – Thursday 13:00 – 16:00 up to the 16th December.
